Upgrading & Downgrading
How to Change Plans
- 1.Go to Billing in your CloudArq account
- 2.Click "Change Plan"
- 3.Select your new plan
- 4.Confirm the change
Timing
- ✓Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You'll be charged for the new plan starting today.
- ✓Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current tier's features through the period you've already paid for, and the lower tier kicks in at the next renewal. We don't prorate or refund the unused portion of the current cycle — see the Refund Policy for the full clause set.
Scan Limits
What Counts as a Scan?
Each time you run an audit (either manually or scheduled), it counts as one scan, regardless of the number of AWS regions or checks performed.
Scan Allowances
2 scans per calendar month
10 scans per calendar month (max 2 per week)
50 scans per calendar month (max 2 per day)
100 pooled scans per month across all accounts
At Scan Limit
If you reach your plan's monthly scan limit:
- →New scans cannot be started until the next billing cycle
- →You can still view and manage existing findings
- →Upgrade to a plan with higher limits to continue scanning
Payment & Billing
Payment Processing
CloudArq uses Paddle as Merchant of Record for payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing. We do not store or have access to your credit card information — card data is entered directly on Paddle’s hosted checkout overlay.

Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly on the same day you subscribe. For example, if you subscribe on April 15th, you'll be billed on the 15th of every month.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription anytime in the Billing section. No penalties or long-term contracts. Your access will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Invoices
Invoices are automatically generated and sent to your billing email address. You can also access them in the Billing section of your account.
Free Tier
Always Available, No Credit Card Required
Our Starter (free) plan is always available with no expiration. No credit card is required to sign up. It's perfect for evaluating CloudArq and getting familiar with our platform.
When you're ready to scale, upgrade to Pro, Max, or Organization. Self-serve tiers (Pro, Max) take a credit card; Organization is contract billing.
